They all laughed when I said what I was planning to do, but when I approached my female friends from theatre and told them what my plan was, there was no hesitation from them to "bare all" for such a worthy cause.

Ovarian cancer is such a silent, sneaky killer of women and the diagnosis of it is so difficult that often when a woman has ben diagnosed with it, it may be too late. Proceeds of the calendar will go to research for a successful diagnosis of this form of cancer in women.

We were unable to start the project until the rights to produce the play were givenl Garrick has been successful in obtaining them for November 2012. To pur the calendar together in such a short time has been a huge effort and thanks must go to our wonderful photographer Candice Goldsmith (her speciality is children....not sure what that says?!). Her patience and direction is unsurpassed. Another couple of women without whose assistance we would not have achieved a successful photo shoot and they are my good friend and travelling companion Maureen Harvie - Stage Manager extraordinaire (and who will be in 2013's calendar), and a young woman with an infectious laugh Nataliw Watson. Also a man who has been most generous with his time and effort is Alan from DocuPrint - where would we be without his input and enthusiasm? Lastly, my sincere thanks to the committee of the Garrick Theatre for your trust and support - my thanks to you all.
